West Covina Home Suffers Water Damage

This West Covina home suffered from minor water damage due to a faulty garbage disposal.  The loss only affected the vinyl flooring in the kitchen. SERVPRO of Irwindale/Baldwin Park was called to the home to perform restoration services. Our crew removed the vinyl flooring along with the plywood subfloor to ensure that all materials would be dry. Before the crew could remove all of the flooring down to the subfloor, asbestos and lead testing needed to be performed. The testing came back negative and the crew was able to remove the flooring. One dehumidifier was placed in the kitchen to help reduce the moisture in the air. The crew monitored the moisture levels until it was dry.
